Sold about 70 euros, the new multifunction printer Canon Pixma MG3550 has a Wi-Fi interface to print and scan from your computer, but also your smartphone and tablet. For this, the manufacturer offers free application Pixma Printing Solutions for iOS and Android. The printer is also compatible with AirPrint technology to print from your iPhone and your iPad without the need of the application and Google Cloud Print. With the latter, you can print directly from documents and images in Gmail and Google Docs.

The rest of the features of the printer is very classic. The Pixma MG3550 uses two ink cartridges (also available in high capacity) to print in a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 dots per inch. The advertised speeds are 9.9 and 5.7 pages per minute in normal mode, respectively in black and white and color. Good point, the printer has an automatic duplex mode. The scanner, meanwhile, has a resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi.
In addition, the printer comes with the My Image Garden software suite that brings together in a single interface all printing and scanning programs the manufacturer. For example, the application Full HD Movie Print easily extract pictures from videos taken with a Canon camera or camcorder.

The Pixma MG3550 is available in September and the other two models Pixma MG2450 (gray) and MG2550 (white). These are slower (8 p / min black and 4 p / min in color). Sold about 50 euros, they have neither Wi-Fi nor automatic duplexing .
