Works Council Canon France has sued the company management on technical grounds related to the restructuring plan which provides for the elimination of 453 positions, including 250 net posts, said on Friday, September 6 trade union sources.

interlocutory hearing is scheduled for September 13 before the Tribunal de Grande Instance (TGI) of Nanterre.

According to the text of the assignment, seen by AFP, the EC essentially criticizes Canon France to have his assistant reorganization plan two projects for technological modernization (“One Service” and “Therefore”).

Gold, says the EC, any project that introduced new technologies requires an information and consultation procedure, which they said was not made properly.

Also, the EC asked the court to prohibit Canon to implement these projects and integrate its reorganization plan, which could force the group to reconsider its electronic copy.
