Canon 7D is indeed capable of producing short videos 2.5K resolution RAW since the recent achievements of the Magic Lantern team. Remember!

This achievement is important and makes the Canon 7D camera can compete with larger ones.
Remember that shooting in RAW is now reserved for professional cameras such as those proposed by BlackMagic, Sony and RED. If the function is not yet fully accomplished – it is limited to only a very limited time images (41 or a little less than 2 seconds of video) number – it has already resulted in initial tests which were somewhat inconclusive. As reported by our colleagues EOS HD, increased dynamic range, resolution perceptible intake, as well as the opportunities offered by these DNG 14-bit in terms of calibration are impressive.
But that’s not all because the Canon 7D is now capable of shooting 2.5K resolution. Yes, the function is real. In only a small part of the operator CMOS APS-C via the Crop Mode 5X, the 7D is now able to generate DNG RAW 2520 x 1200 pixels at 24 frames per second. Certainly not continuously since the function is currently blocked a total of 35 images, about 1.5 seconds. But this is a very encouraging start.
As evidenced by the video test that here, collected, assembled and calibrated at 2.5K, the results in terms of sharpness, color rendering and contrast still worth the look:
