Mézidon-Canon. 140 rally crews Sunday - Ouest-France

Sunday will take place on the eighteenth rally Mézidon-Canon.

Four questions

The President Chantal Lebel, who spends a lot of time.

Why this rally in Mézidon-Canon, rather than elsewhere

It’s simple. My husband and I are passionate about motorsport. We live Mézidon-Canon and this is where we created the Stable Auge. For eighteen years we organize, it is now one of the largest rallies in the region with the rally of the Côte Fleurie and the rally of the Auge. He has to cut France rallies and the championship Automobile Club de l’Ouest (AOC). Again, we can find our friendly route back roads of Auge.

What Are You Thinking?

This year we have 140 crews is our maximum. We have a waiting list. This shows, I think drivers like to come running here. They come from North, Central, Vendee, Brittany and Normandy course. Many of them tell us they appreciate the organization and layout of the special. Sunday, there will be two to go three times each. There will also be three female crew, which had not happened for a long time.

What is your main concern?

Concerns we do not really, but we are uncompromising in terms of safety and because of that we never had to mourn accident among the spectators who must continue to be reasonable to ensure the future of the rally. Otherwise, the organization took place quietly, our record has received a favorable opinion of the sub-prefecture and we have good relations with the mayors of the municipalities concerned.

How many volunteers and resources are mobilized

the day of the rally is 250 people who will be on-site doctors, ambulances, curators and volunteers for all tasks imposed such a test. In financial terms, this is a budget of € 35,000 that we can wrap with the commitments of the crew, with the City and the community of municipalities and of course our sponsors.

Sunday, May 26 Mézidon. Starting at 8 am 30 closed park near the room of La Loco, then crews will then go to start special. Administrative checks and scrutineering will take place this Saturday on the place de la Gare.
