Canon EOS 7D Mark II will arrive in stores in the third quarter of the year, ie in a period between July and September. This since the Japanese manufacturer had decided to use prototype versions of this reflex during Olympic Games 2014 , which will take place in Sochi during the current month.

It is learned on the Net, with Canon Rumors points out that the current timeline for the announcement of successor to the Canon EOS 7D was fixed in the second quarter, with a debut that would be rather in the next quarter. In addition it tested by experienced photographers during the upcoming Olympics, the Japanese company could take advantage of the World Cup (in Brazil) before launching it publicly.

For the moment, different features and capabilities would still be at stake and therefore not decided yet at all. The prototypes that will come during the Sochi Olympics will therefore integrate features that can vary, however, before the camera arrives in stores.

Previous rumors took for a possible announcement of the EOS 7D Mark II for March, a retail price of about $ 2,000 and a set of technical specifications of all respect. The sensor will be 20 or 24 megapixel technology DualPixel; autofocus is about a 61-point system similar to the one mounted on the EOS 5D Mark II, and then the camera would include a high frame rate (between 10 and 12fps) sealing of high quality, a Dual DIGIC V +, and Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS. The envelope should be completed by a slot for a memory card, very good ISO performance and video capabilities currently defined as “innovative.”
