IoShutter is similar in concept to the cables for remote shooting with timers that are on the market, produced both by Canon and Nikon by third parties. What differentiates it from the rest of the system is the interface: on one side we have the camera and on the other we have not a remote control, but the iOS device with a suitable application that you download from the App Store offers many more features and flexibility the classic remote control with timer and cable.
Once connected iPhone and digicamera we can control remotely, manually, the system something useful for group shots and put on the stand, but also and above all, we plan to shoot long exposures and time lapse, or even for exposures timed. This allows you to create artistic effects, or simply funny and surprising, bright skies at night, light trails, overexposure, filmed in sequence showing the passage of time and so on. IOShutter has been reviewed very favorably by some important sites that deal with digital photos as ePHOTOzine, Photography Blog and Digital Camera World, which highlight its very useful features and price, very cheap compared to proprietary solutions from Canon and Nikon who lose their comparison in terms of flexibility. Some third-party manufacturers have cheaper solutions, but none is able to equalize iOShutter for ease of use, programmability and ability to adapt to the diverse needs of Use.
