Canon is expected to announce in mid-February, the replacement for the Canon PowerShot G1 X. Meanwhile they come online photos and technical specifications.

Canon is preparing a new top of the range camera currently identified as the model successor to the Canon PowerShot G1 X . It should be announced at CP + event in mid-February but in the meantime it was leaked online the first image and a set of technical specifications that allow for an advance on features that will have.

product that will replace the PowerShot G1 X should first be equipped with a camera body thinner and lighter predecessor, therefore, characterized by increased portability. Inside, the manufacturer would have an integrated DIGIC 6, 24-120mm f/2-3.9 lens and features GPS and Wi-Fi. The optical viewfinder would have been removed in favor of an external electronic viewfinder while the sensor size is not yet known, although it seems that the new model will receive “a big boost in image quality,” thus offering different improvements in this direction.

The manufacturer has not yet provided any confirmation about the rumors but it should now miss only a week or so to reveal the new camera. Canon would feel that the camera belongs to a top of the range product segment and therefore should evaluate it as such, applying a Price the audience of about $ 700.
