Canon has announced the EOS-1D C, which is a reminder SLR capable of shooting 4K resolution, had to receive recognition from the EBU, the European Broadcast Union. The device has been tested independently and as HD capture EBU Tech 3335 standard.
It was found that the EOS-1D C was the first SLR capable of providing a quality high enough to be used as part of audiovisual production picture. The findings of the EBU are positive.
