European Broadcast Union announced on September 12 that the EOS-1D C, its high end SLR capable of 4K resolution (4096 x 2160 pixels), has been independently tested by the acquisition standards HD EBU. The EOS-1D C would thus become the first SLR capable of providing quality 4K image with a “very low” for aliasing and “good” performance in terms of color rendering and shooting moving.

Recall that the Canon EOS-1D C is a box that provides a dynamic range, with a 4:2:2 color sampling, in a relatively compact, dentique than the EOS-1D X. It also offers several resolutions format M-JPEG compression 8-bit 23.98 fps or 25 fps, and the Full HD mode (1920 x 1080) at a rate shooting up to 1080/60p.

EOS-1D C is of course compatible with the entire range of Canon EF lenses, offering a range of exceptional creative options.

Its price is worth its weight in gold: about 10,000 euros, Body Only
