Into Designed specifically for color grading and production 4K video, DP-V3010 is designed to be used in different situations: use on set or on location, in the studio for other uses such as CGI, Computer Aided Design and animation 3D. DP-V3010 is equipped with an IPS LCD panel 30 “ dall’aspect ratio of 16:10 and resolution of 4,096 x 2,560 pixels . The 10-bit panel operates with the processor to allow viewing of 1,024 steps of gradation for each RGB color. Canon provides a higher contrast ratio to 2000:1 , the value recommended by the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) to work in post-production in digital cinema.

The same Mogens Jensen, Director of Canon Professional Imaging Group Italy, has stated: “The new monitor DP-V3010 [...] complements our existing portfolio 4K [...] and in combination with our cameras Cinema EOS ensures excellent input-output solution suitable for a wide range of contest . ” DP-V3010 will be available in the first quarter of 2014, still nothing said as to the price which of course will reflect the soul purely professional product.
