She’s young, she’s beautiful, yet Jacqui Beck a British 19 year old is not like the other girls, because she suffers from a defect that has caused her lack of vagina.
A British teenager said she was in “total shock” to learn that she was born without a vagina.
During a routine visit to the doctor, Jacqui Beck, then 17, first begins to ask the question why it does not always see its rules. Tests quickly showed that she had MRKH syndrome, a genetic disease that meant she was born without a vagina, uterus or cervix.
“I left [the firm] doctor in tears. I do not know what it was like to give birth, being pregnant, having a period. All the things I had imagined doing suddenly got erased from my future, “Beck Declares Daily Mail. “I was really angry and I felt that I was not a real woman”
As shocking as it may seem, Beck is not the only one. In fact, the state is not even particularly rare. According to the National Institutes of Health, the Mayer-Rokitansky syndrome – Kuster-Hauser (named for the physician who first diagnosed), or MRKH, affects one in 4,500 newborn girls

The disease mainly affects the reproductive system and “causes the vagina and uterus underdeveloped or absent. “According to the NIH, it occurs mostly in people with no family history of the disease.
The external genitalia are normal, and women with MRKH have ovarian function and undergo puberty. The condition is usually detected when someone with MRKH trying to have sex, or do not start having periods of 16 years.
Although the current state is no total cure connnue, there are still several treatment options available for women with MRKH. Medical procedures such as dilation or surgery can help create a vaginal canal in women with MRKH, allowing them to have sex. The eggs can be removed and fertilized to be used in surrogacy.
Beck, now 19, is also in the process of appropriating the state it takes very philosophy.
