After PowerShot N, a digital camera “square” virtually devoid of any physical control and focusing on the touch and simplicity, unveiled at CES 2013 Canon is back at CES 2014 with the PowerShot N100.
Canon N100 features a classic design with many buttons on either side of the housing (navigation pad, zoom control, shutter shortcut for video recording) and an articulated touchscreen (3 inch diagonal approximately -7.5 cm – for a definition of 922,000 points). With its sensor 12 million pixels (1/1, 7 “), its 5x optical zoom covering a range of 24-120 mm (35mm eq) and f/1.8-5.7 aperture, its Digic processor 6, a Wi-Fi connectivity and NFC, the PowerShot N100 could pass for a device like the others … But it has a second sensor with optical sound. This couple placed at the rear of the case resembles a Webcam with a definition 0.3 megapixel equivalent to a 25 mm fixed focal length.
Each trigger are two pictures that are taken: the subject and the photographer. A system that works in video mode. Canon PowerShot N100 and can directly embed the portrait photographer thumbnail on the main photo. Other types of operation are announced.

N100 for the month of May 2014 to about 350 euros.
