We had already had occasion to speak to the viewer Canon for augmented reality, the MREAL Mixes Reality . At SIGGRAPH in Anaheim was presented a portable version , which currently exists as a prototype. Unlike the viewer to wear on his head, this unit, as you can see in the picture, it works more as a kind of binoculars to bring before your eyes when you want to use. On the top of the sensors are placed , the utility of which is to provide the user’s position, so that the source can calculate the displacements carried out with the head, allowing to move the camera also within the viewer.
Among the demo shown there was that of a digital actor Kabuki theater, which is inserted as an element of augmented reality, interacting with the environment.
