The advent of digital technologies and the continuous increase of the potential in the field of video of various electronic products (from cameras to smartphones) has reduced the sales of this segment. Segment, however, still on the market and that is constantly trying to evolve.

Camcorders LEGRIA HF R56 and LEGRIA HF R506 , designed specifically for the family (also available in Child mode, designed to allow parents to record the profiles of up to three children, to make video custom album documenting their growth), have both a 32x optical zoom, a DIGIC processor Canon DV4 and a Canon Full HD CMOS sensor 3.2 megapixel . LEGRIA HF R56 is also equipped with Wi-Fi mode with remote monitoring (allowing you to monitor and control in real time their home remotely) simultaneously records AVCHD MP4 and is equipped with an internal memory of 8GB.

LEGRIA mini X is instead designed primarily for recording interviews, concerts and all those situations where the audio becomes very important. Inside the stereo microphone is inserted a structure with a double layer of fabric mesh and sponge inside to reduce the background noise. LEGRIA mini X also offers thanks to the recording format Linear PCM , a high-sampling audio uncompressed. Objective F2.8 ultra-wide-angle of 170 °, the LCD touch-screen vari-angle 6.8 cm (2.7 “) and built-in support are the other main features of the latest Canon camera .

LEGRIA HF R56 and LEGRIA HF R506 will be available from January 2014 respectively at a price of? 379 and ¥ 274, while mini X will be available from February at a price of? 399.
