The world is full of smartphones with two cameras, one main and one front to be used primarily for video calls. Among them, the LG Optimus Pro G was the first to allow simultaneous shooting of both cameras, to be used in a single image but also in the video. But so far, this concept was not employed on a compact camera in the strict sense: PowerShot N100 is therefore the first of its kind , and among other things is the direct evolution of the Canon PowerShot N square presented right in Las Vegas last year.
It has two cameras and can take pictures and videos with both, then making use of a variety of creative features and wireless sharing. Among the former, the Background Defocus that achieves an effect of reduced depth, but there is also Creative Shot and 46 filters in the categories Monochrome, Retro, Special and Natural . By sharing, we both Wi-Fi and NFC , with lots of app support for Android smartphones / tablets, while the functionality Hybrid Cars record 4 seconds prior to the shooting and can be combined with the acquisition double to film the expressions of the photographer in the moments immediately prior to the shooting. Not missing, finally, the Smart Auto mode , , which automatically adjusts the key shooting parameters depending on the environmental conditions.

From the hardware point of view, PowerShot N100 is equipped with a CMOS sensor 1/1.7 12 mpixel, 5x f/1.8-5.7 lens (24-120mm) with optical image stabilizer, and a swivel LCD display 3 ‘ ‘with 922,000 pixels, all “managed” by the new DIGIC 6. Cost European / Italian? Already defined: 387 €, with availability from mid-May.
