New creative contest aimed at identifying and developing the next generation of talent, encourage creativity, innovation, culture and training professionals

Canon, a world leader in Imaging, IED – Istituto Europeo di Design and the weekly La Repubblica D have joined together to seek new talent thanks to a creative contest for students, young professionals and photo enthusiasts. Giving away a scholarship worth € 4,950 to access the Advanced Training Course in Photography and coordinated by Silvia Lelli which will start on February 20.

Canon as a company dedicated to imaging, is Always attentive to the experiments in the photographic and strongly committed to identifying young talent with excellent access camera, providing them with all the necessary support to improve and make photography his profession. And this dedication is confirmed by the new contest aims to enhance the creativity and innovation of the new generation of talent.

Participants in the contest must design, build and submit 5 shots on the theme “digital lives of others “sending it by January 26 at IED (master@milano.ied.it) together with a CV and motivational letter.

The project evaluation will be made by a jury composed of directors and IED teachers and professionals Canon, representatives of the editors of D La Repubblica. A selection of the best papers will also be published on the websites of FDI and D at the close of the contest.

The Advanced Training Course in Photography aims to train professionals, scholars and amateurs of photography techniques and on contemporary languages ??through a new approach that utilizes all the energy from one side of the encounter with renowned performers of this art, on the other hand the use of the photographic studio and darkroom to explore new artistic languages. The core design of the course allows participants to develop projects image in still-life, food photography, show photography, photostory, selfpublishing. Lessons and operational guidance to the profession, laboratory activities of Photoshop, and video post-production complete the journey.

The course is structured in 11 thematic meetings that take place over the weekend, once a month, starting February 20, 2014, and ends with a photo exhibition open to the public, where the results of the work of the students are placed in the “Show” at the IED in Milan.
