A new prototype is being tested in house Canon , the 35mm f/1.4L II . The goal is in the hands of some photographers, and may be submitted during the first half 2014 . It is said that the lens is slightly larger than the current version, but lighter. The lens has a new type of coating on at least one of the elements. The version that was tested, it had a filter size of 77 mm.
