Canon EOS M2: better autofocus and Wi-fi - DDay.it - ??Digital Day

Canon EOS-

has finally M2, although the official announcement for now is limited to Japan. A presentation a bit ‘on the sly, because the M2 is not the mirrorless revolution that everyone was waiting for, with optical viewfinder, sensor and Dual Pixel high novelty. Canon chooses (as always) the more conservative line, and compared to the EOS M changes very little, even if the changes go in the right direction. APS-C CMOS sensor, which remains the same in terms of resolution (18 megapixels), leverages Hybrid CMOS AF II , which debuted on the same EOS 100D.

Canon, thanks to the sensor with photoreceptors that function as AF sensors research phase, promises a speed of focus of 2.3 times faster of the previous model, and with an area of wider recognition. Unfortunately Canon does not use the Dual Pixel, a real shame because it could give to its mirrorless an edge in terms of videos offering a valid reason to purchase.

Among the new EOS M2 there is also a slightly more compact body and the built-in Wi-Fi . According to some rumors, M2 would be only the first in the EOS range model M, and for this reason the announcement was made locally: for the international market could get a version with an optical viewfinder and 20 megapixel sensor. The debut by now delayed until CES in Las Vegas, where Canon has always shown new products. We are waiting to know the prices and availabilty of M2 on the Italian market.
