While the C300, the famous film camera Canon Eos continued his career alongside the C500, it seemed interesting to do a flashback on the third musketeer, the C100 camera with a large sensor but at an affordable price, output there just a year ago, in November 2012 and will soon benefit from a new firmware.
recall that before the C300, Canon did not offer “movie camera”, leaving little room for other manufacturers such as RED, Arri, but also Sony, Panasonic, JVC etc … Almost paradoxical situation when you know that Canon manufactured optical mounted on camcorders from other manufacturers. EOS cameras such Eos 5D with video capability have changed a bit since the deal now, videographers recorded with a camera body images “movie” type.
video “large sensor” was initiated with the EOS C300 for about 10 000 € without lens and the EOS C500, around 18 000 €. The EOS C100 is instead positioned as an “entry of this range” (€ 5,000). So what can we expect of a positioned directly facing the DSLR video camcorder? This is the question we posed in this somems full test of the Canon C100.
