Canon has released a new firmware update for the EOS C500 and C500 PL , keeping what was announced in September. The new version is 1.0.4.1.00 , and brings with it many new features, first of all support the ISO setting 80,000 . Let us see the list of changes:
- When you use the [Focus Assist / Focus Assist] [Magnify / Enlarge], it is now possible to move the enlarged viewing area around the LCD screen.
- setting [Maximum ISO / ISO maximum] was increased up to ISO 80,000.
- mode [Gamut Cinema / Cinema Gamma] and DCI-P3 + were added to provide more options for color range in the RAW format.
- has been added to the resolution of RAW 4096 × 1080 pixels.
- has been added to a menu setting [Key Lock / Key Lock], which allows you to block all transactions, including the [START / STOP - START / STOP].
- using the Canon Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E6, the application of remote camera control allows two users to access the same drive via a Wi-Fi ®, providing a simultaneous, independent control of the camera and of ‘ metadata input.
- support of Canon Log LUT was added to the output terminal of the HD / SD SDI.
- ACESproxy has been added to the output terminal of the monitor.
- [E] / [ND-] have been added as functions that can be assigned to any assignable button.

- Added the ability to assign the two control knobs (body and grip) to use independently the iris or the ISO sensitivity.
- have been added to the peripheral illumination correction data for seven (7) objectives Film Canon (EF) and eleven (11) Canon EF lenses.
